It was developed by two young professionals tired of paying for wireless Internet access. MetroFreeFi proliferates free Wi-Fi services by supporting Wi-Fi networks with a starting point that is useful and interesting to users. The MetroFreeFi.com community incorporates news, video content from premium content providers, location recommendations near each Wi-Fi network and other information that enables Wi-Fi users with many resources.
MetroFreeFi also shares revenues from advertising with Wi-Fi providers. As an alternative for charging consumers for Wi-Fi services; cafes, hotels, and other Wi-Fi locations can utilize MetroFreeFi as the starting page and generate ad revenue, while enabling an enhanced experience for their users.
MetroFreeFi's goal is to bring all necessary resources for Wi-Fi users on to one destination site and to make that site the start page at thousands of Wi-Fi locations.
The founders of MetroFreeFi have a personal passion for proliferating free Wi-Fi and are working to continually improve resources available to Wi-Fi users and to Wi-Fi locations.
